Marie-Lydie Nokouda

Marie-Lydie Nokouda was born in Cameroon in 1981. She attended her first dance theater course in 2003 and shortly afterwards her first hip-hop dance course. She had her first professional appearance as a dancer one year later in the play “Mr. Nice Guy”, at the Bellevue Theater in Copenhagen. After that she studied contemporary dance for two years in Copenhagen and in Belgium. She has worked with Alexander Barvoet, among others, and participated in Signa Sörensen’s non-stop performance installation “The Apparitions of Martha Rubin”, which is to be revived in Berlin in May. This year she also has a small role in the film “Little Soldier” by Anette K. Olesen, which will be shown in the cinemas next year.
