Alex Ssebaggala

Alex Ssebaggala is a Ugandan urban contemporary performing artist and dance researcher currently living in Kigali, Rwanda. In his art, dance is based on breakdance, African traditional, contemporary, and urban dance technics and focuses on creating a new interesting mix of styles. His knowledge-sharing practices in the dance field aim to inspire and develop the local dance community. He mostly does it through voluntary work, teaching dance practices for kids in Rwanda, offering lessons for other professionals, as well as setting up a platform for emerging dancers within East Africa called Kigali Breaking Cypher (KBC).
