Douglas Koirewoa (D’krump)

Douglas is a Papua and West Papua hip hop dance mentor. He founded the ANKER Dance School in Jayapura, the Sentani Dance School and the Papua Dance Family in the city of Sorong. He is also a dance teacher at the Papua Kasih Jayapura School Foundation.

He is one of the dancers who have promoted Papuan culture and nature to several countries around the globe including Singapore, Malaysia, UK, Netherlands, Australia and Germany by combining traditional and modern dances.

Douglas often collaborates with national event organizers like Street Volume and Eat the Beat. He conducts regional dance competitions and prepares and provides stages for dancers from local to national level. Multi-talented Douglas has acted in the national TV show Diam-diam Suka (SCTV) and also online in Pappzmily (YouTube).

Douglas’ dance styles are Papuan traditional, krump, hip hop, popping and contemporary street.
