Guluma

Francis Anywar aka Guluma is a dance artist from Gulu (Northern Uganda) who uses his dance as a medium to inspire and connect with young people and to support and address social issues affecting the community. He started dancing in 2013 when he was engaged in Pyem-Myel, a local dance competition. He continued to nurture his passion through exploring different types of dances as Acholi traditional, contemporary, swing, and breaking.

In 2014, Guluma started dancing with the HI5 Dance Unit, participating and winning a dance competition in May 2019. The crew has participated in Cheza dance Idols, NTV Hot Step, Wer-War Festival, and Beyond the Beat.

In 2021, Guluma participated in a contemporary dance workshop by Chica Francisca Pedro from Mozambique.
