Kazue Ikeda

Kazue Ikeda, born in Kobe, Japan, trained at the Japan Action Club (Institute for Stuntmen and Actors), before beginning her dance education. She studied different techniques in New York (a.o. Limón, Horton, down town Modern, Alexander, Yoga) and worked with The Kevin Wynn Collection, Bill T. Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Co. and Anna Sokolow Players Project, a.o. Since 1993, she has created her own work in New York and Japan: solos, collaborations with musicians and visual artists, and improvisations. She won the year 1999 competition »Best German Dance Solo« in Leipzig and received an engagement at the Stadttheater Oldenburg.
