Ridwan Rasheed

Ridwan Rasheed is a native of Oyo State from Nigeria, he was born and brought up in the Bariga community.
He is a dance artist, art director, curator,  choreographer and a total lover of art.

Fascinated by art at a very tender age with the idea of using art as a tool for social change and to tell usual stories in unusual ways. Particular about storytelling and visualizing a broad range of cultural, literary, and philosophical belief that guides the art.

Featured in a lot of physical and virtual art festivals, Ted art gathering, metamorphosis, Afropean Festival Frankfurt, Bad News Festival Wiesbaden, and won many reputable awards.
He is the lead dance artiste in the piece titled ”SORRY” an award-winning dance theatre collaboration project between the ”FOOTPRINTS OF DAVID” Nigeria and ”MONSTER TRUCK” Germany. This piece is really to create sarcasm between Europe and Africa which was funded by the German cultural center in 2016 and still on tour.
