Echokrank

Intro

Even if they want to deny it in the package insert: Echokrank are thick lo-fi electro fun with the charm of the playful and crazy, freshly anarchistic on the road without strictly wanting to ride a genre train. The two Echokranken radiate that exuberant wealth of ideas that you know from young creatives who, due to their hyperactivity, can hardly stand more than two minutes with a track. Despite the absolutely intended economy in the three or four cheap tools they use, Echokrank manage to torch a little firework of ideas, sounds and wild rhythm changes in every track. This can quickly leave you burnt out in the wrong mood, but the motto here is not for nothing: “Make nervous what makes you nervous!” The echo-sick sound already does that very well, and a lot of fun to boot. As an added bonus, there’s this cover with the two guys dressed up as ladies in cheap glamour in front of desolate Berlin tenements – I don’t really know why, but I love it.
