The third and last part of the Firebird series tries to translate the figure’s associations with fire into a feeling or atmosphere. Spoken word fragments recorded on dictaphones combine with songs by David Lieder, which together mix with the fragmented movement material. Daniel Lieder was the singer of the Swiss band Alboth!, which had already reached cult status at the time. He described his singing as: “primarily tonal information, in wide open and expanded empty phrases”. Performance at the Tanzfabrik Berlin und Ballhaus Naunynstrasse.
