Sally Cowdin

Sally Cowdin was born and raised in Kansas City Missouri. After finishing her Professional Dance Training at Alonzo King Lines Ballet in San Francisco, CA, she moved to Germany to work with StaatsBallett Mainz. She then relocated to Berlin, Germany to work at Friedrichstadt-Palast Berlin. In 2016 she began to freelance throughout Europe as a dancer and choreographer making her way on screen. Some of these include; dancing/co-choreographing and starring as Larissa in ‘Babylon Berlin’ (season 1-4), Co- Choreographer for the mini series ‘Berlin I Love You’ and starred as Irene in the feature film ‘ Adventures of a Mathematician’. Alongside screen she worked on stage such as choreographing for the Staatstheater Stuttgart production of ‘Ehen in Philippsburg’, ‘Leonce und Lena’ directed by Korbinian Schmidt and as co-founder of cabaret and burlesque company ‘Die Gl’Amouresque’. In 2020 Sally received her Masters in Acting at the Institute of the Arts Barcelona. During this time, not only did she keep working as a performer on screen and stage, but began developing her own works as a writer and director. She is currently represented by Agent Paola Pasini in Milan. She has two short films in production and in July 2023 premiered her newest theatre work, ‘RELEASE’,  in Reykjavik Iceland, which she co-wrote and acted in. Sally is also an ambassador and research writer for the Swiss association ‘What Dance Can Do’, volunteering and working to bring dance and movement to vulnerable children around the world.
