IGC Fashion

IGC Fashion

IGC Fashion is a Ugandan street wear label based in Kampala, whose inspirations are based on conceptualized scenarios of mixing ancient African fashion with modern urban architecture and futuristic reality.
IGC use natural and indigenous materials such as Nsimbi (cowrie shells), Lubugo (backcloth) and second-hand garments.
The label uses fashion as a tool for positive social change through their community outreach programs (Fashion cyphers) which they carry out once a month around Uganda.
The label also organizes an annual fashion events called ”Kwetu Kwanza”, that aims on spreading awareness about the impacts of unsustainable consumption of fashion and waste, encouraging to create a more sustainable future within fashion brands without negative social and environmental impacts.
