Walter Ruva

Walter Ruva was born in Kampala (Uganda). He started performing at the early age of 8 years.
Walter specializes in Hip hop, Dancehall, Ugandan Traditional Dance, African contemporary and Latin Dance such as Salsa, Cha-cha, Samba and Bachata.
Currently Walter Ruva is a member of the famous “Keiga Dance Company “ as well of the group “Latin Flavor Uganda“.
In addition, he runs his own African Dance Workshop in traditional drumming entitled “Uncle Walter workout“ and a very successful dance crew called “LXD Uganda”, winner of the “Hot Steps“ reality TV show.
Walter has travelled across Africa and Europe performing in several festivals, especially in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands. With the project “UMOJA“
he is involved in an international exchange program within Kenya, Tanzania, Norway, Rwanda and Ethiopia, experimenting the encounter of different cultures in music, dance and acrobatics
