Shiran Eliaserov

Shiran Eliaserov is a performer and choreographer based in Berlin/Tel Aviv. She graduated from Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Choreography, and is the creator of “Construction Site”: a platform for emerging Israeli and International artists to exhibit their work, connect, and collaborate. Shiran collaborates with choreographers and musicians from around the world, and creates her own work. Her current research is focused in site specific work and mixed-media performance. Her work deals with dream-like imagery, where fiction and reality meet, meanings shift, translucent images merge, and the line of past and present becomes hazy. By examining the ambiguity and origination of the moving body in space, she investigates the dynamics of landscape. What are the effects of a landscape on the body? What are the limitations of the body as a landscape? What is our relationship between the effects a landscape has on us, and our manipulation of the landscape we are in? Rather than presenting a factual reality, an illusion is fabricated for the realms of our imagination.
