Miriam Kuna Schade

Miriam Kuna Schade is a trained tailor and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design at the Berlin University of the Arts in 2024.
In her collections, she primarily explores the definition of identities and femininity, focusing on BIPOC women and their experiences within the context of a white-dominated society. From this perspective, she finds forms of expression that challenge normative societal structures and norms.

Miriam’s goal is to create a space for exchange and integrity through collaboration.
From March 2021 to October 2024, she worked as a tutor in the weaving department at the UdK. Miriam enjoys experimenting with various materials and employs different craft techniques in her work as a designer. As a costume designer, she created the costumes for the performance Eventually Causing the Shake (2023) at Ballhaus Naunynstraße.
